Discipleship for Earth Healing: A Weekend Learning Event
Friday, November 4 – Saturday, November 5, 2022
Oxford United Ministries invites you to join the Rev. Dr. Jessica Hetherington, ecotheologian, for a weekend of learning and spiritual engagement about our place in creation, the need for lament, and how we can deepen our discipleship response to the ecological crisis and climate change. Come to learn and explore with others; leave committed to a discipleship for Earth healing.

Where: Trinity United Church, 118 Church St., Ingersoll, in person AND online.
Cost: Free of Charge

Weekend Outline:
Friday, Nov 4
7:00 – 8:00 pm – “Discipleship for Earth Healing” keynote talk
8:00 – 8:30 pm – Vespers
Saturday, Nov 5 (*NOTE: Weather permitting, the workshops will include time in a nearby park, which is wheelchair accessible)
9:30 – 10:00 am – Gathering time
10:00 – 11:30 am – Workshop 1 ~ “Grounding Ourselves in Earth
Community”
11:30 – 1:00 pm – Lunch (vegetarian meal provided for a nominal cost
at Trinity)
1:00 – 2:30 pm – Workshop 2 ~ “The Need for Lament”
2:30 – 3:00 pm – BREAK
3:00 – 4:30 pm – Workshop 3 ~ “Discipleship and Commitment”
4:30 pm – Closing Worship Service
